Yes, we do buy vehicles on spec from Japan, the UK and Australia, this is based on knowing they are popular and easy to sell when they arrive here. These vehicles are available for sale before arrival in New Zealand, subject to certain conditions.

We can check all available stock in the various countries within a few minutes and advise what is available and an indication of the expected selling price.
We make sure any vehicle we investigate and recommend to you will comply with the many standards and rules that are currently in place with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
Once we have secured the vehicle of your choice, there are a number of specific documents and records that need to be obtained from the appropriate government agencies in the country of export. We organise this for you to ensure there are no hiccups later on.
We then arrange for your vehicle to receive a pre-export check and cleaned to the standards required by MAF Biosecurity (MAF) before being shipped on the next available vessel.
Odometers are inspected and certified in Japan before departure.
Vehicles from the UK have their mileage readings checked against the UK Government database for any discrepancy prior to auction.
Only those deemed correct and genuine will be considered suitable for importation.
Regarding vehicles from the UK, we ensure firstly that it meets criteria that allows a tax refund of the VAT component. Two identical cars may be classified differently for VAT, so we ensure we choose the right one. With VAT currently at 20%, we know of many cases where private vehicle exports have not been eligible for a VAT refund when exported from the UK.
Vehicles from the U.S. particularly “Special Interest Vehicles” have extra requirements that need to be met.
We ship many vehicles. Because of this we know we are able to offer you the most competitive shipping package available which also includes transport to the port of export and delivery to your desired location on arrival. This will most likely be the vehicle compliance centre we will use. Also included is Marine Transit Insurance.
On arrival in New Zealand, we arrange for the vehicle to enter the compliance process which places it into the New Zealand vehicle fleet, as well as being inspected prior to number plate issue.
